Pastor Malik Smith
Pastor Malik Smith was born in the beautiful island of Jamaica at Andrews Memorial Hospital, a Seventh-day Adventist Hospital, in the capital city of Kingston. He came to Ontario, Canada at the age of 4, and grew up in the suburbs near Toronto. He is the oldest of three sons. According to his father, “One for the Father, one for the Son and one for the Spirit.”
He is a product of Christian education through all of his studies. He is a proud graduate of Crawford Adventist Academy in Toronto which he attended between grades 7-12. He then pursued his tertiary studies in Religion and Theology at Northern Caribbean University in Mandeville, Jamaica.
The call for ministry came at a very young age when he was somewhere between 7-9 years old and he has never departed from it. He truly enjoys preaching the word and takes it as a solemn duty to preach truth wherever he goes. He is passionate about and places emphasis on prophecy, the sanctuary, church doctrine, evangelism, and preserving the identity of God’s remnant church in these times. He is also passionate about the youth of the church and seeing them truly fulfill the divine purpose God has for youth in these times.
In addition, he is very musical as he enjoys singing and playing the piano among other musical abilities. These talents given him by God are a unique part of his ministry. He greatly enjoys using these talents given him by God to the honour and glory of God.
Pastor Smith started his ministry here in the Ontario Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He was previously assigned as the Assistant Pastor at the Brampton Seventh-day Adventist Church in June of 2022. He has been serving as our Assistant Pastor at the Toronto Perth Seventh-Day Adventist Church since February of 2024.
One of his favourite Bible verses, Psalm 27:4, expresses his foremost desire by God’s grace to live with Jesus in heaven. It is his desire as well to help prepare people for the kingdom of heaven.
